This course takes you step-by-step through the complete 18-movement Tai Chi Fan form, combining traditional Tai Chi principles with fan techniques, breath awareness, posture, and flowing movement sequences.

The Tai Chi Fan is often described as an extension of your energy and movement. Because of this, having some basic Tai Chi foundation or experience is recommended, as it will help you feel more comfortable with weight shifting, posture, balance, and flow throughout the course.

Whether you are looking to deepen your Tai Chi practice, improve coordination and stability, or enjoy a calming and meditative movement experience, this course provides a structured and supportive way to learn.

What You’ll Learn

Throughout the course, you will explore:

  • Introduction to Tai Chi Fan — origins, purpose, and benefits of this graceful meditative art

  • Warm-up and fan basics — posture, breath, movement principles, and fan handling techniques

  • Step-by-step guidance through all 18 movements of the form

  • Key movements including:
    Holding the Moon in Arms
    Willow Blows in the Breeze
    Protect Against Dust

  • Mindful movement and breathwork to support calm, focus, and flow

  • Weight shifting, balance, coordination, and stability techniques

  • Fan opening, transitions, cutting techniques, rhythm, and timing

  • Cool down and grounding practices at the end of each session

 

As the course progresses, sessions focus not only on learning movements, but also refining flow, integration, technique, and confidence with the complete form.

  • Receive access to all sessions upon purchase so you can learn and practise at your own pace
